You're stuck on a job site in the middle of nowhere and you need supplies fast, what do you do?

"This is really something that's going to save oil companies time and money," said Brian Whitney, co-owner of Righands.
Though Righands was launched only this past January, the site is already making ground-breaking strides in conivence for workers in the field.
GPS search is the one-of-a-kind program designed by RigHands' Whitney and Jody Patzer that makes it possible for any rig worker to track down supplies closest to their location - no matter how remote.
"If (a rig needs) water and they need it now, you don't have a clue who to call," said Whitney.
"YellowPages is not sorted by city and you have to flip through a lot of pages to find someone near your location that has what you're looking for."
For example, a rig manager in need of a water truck can find what they're looking for within minutes by logging onto Righands. Once on the site, the user can click "GPS Search," type in his or her location and keyword, such as "water truck."
The program will then pull up a list of companies with water trucks in the nearest area.
Anything from trucks , hotels and even coveralls can be searched by the program.
"Anything these guys need," said Whitney. "Jody runs an oil rig and this has been one of his problems for years and years."
"This is what he needed, so this is what we built."
The brand new program is currently only registered for use in Alberta but will eventually be available for use in British Columbia, Saskatchewan and even the U.S., says Whitney.
GPS search is a free service for anyone to use.
Eventually, Whitney hopes the program will be converted into a cell phone application allowing for an exact land coordinate of rigs.
"It's your one-stop-shop," said Whitney.
